What is facebook?

Facebook is a popular social networking website that allows users to create personal profiles, share information and connect with friends and family online. It was founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg, along with his college roommates and fellow Harvard University students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes.

Users of Facebook can create a personal profile, add friends, post status updates, photos and videos, and join groups of like-minded individuals. It also offers features such as news feeds, messaging, and event invites. Facebook has become a popular platform for businesses to market their products and services, with features like Facebook Pages, advertising and targeted advertising. Facebook has over 2.8 billion monthly active users as of December 2020 and has become one of the most widely used social media platforms in the world.
